Product description
This is an antique ink blotter, an elegant desk accessory from the Art Nouveau period. The piece is a fine example of the design aesthetic of the early 20th century, characterized by its organic and flowing lines. The blotter is made from multiple materials. The decorative hood and knob are made of bronze with a dark patina, adorned with the typical naturalistic motifs of the Art Nouveau style. The curved base is made of wood, designed to effectively absorb ink with the underlying blotting paper. The blotting paper itself has a soft pink color. The object is in good condition, consistent with its age and use. A small split in the knob but no less charming. The authentic patina on the bronze enhances the historical character and charm of the piece. The construction is still fully intact, as can be seen in the images where the parts are disassembled.
