For sale is this exquisite antique religious porcelain group, likely made around the turn of the century (c. 1890–1920).
The piece is distinguished by the matte, velvety surface of the bisque porcelain, which lends the figures a particularly soft and vibrant appearance. The group depicts the Holy Family with a rare and detailed Sacred Heart symbolism on the Christ Child.
The painting is done in typical, soft pastel tones and accented with delicate gold dots. The model number 367 is impressed on the underside. Based on its style and high quality, it is very likely to have originated from the renowned manufactories in Thuringia (Germany) or France.
A wonderful piece of sacred art, perfectly suited as a stylish decorative object.
