This antique armchair was manufactured by the renowned furniture factory 't Woonhuys from the early 20th century, located at Prinsengracht 709-713 in Amsterdam. The design is characterized by a classic, low-sitting form with a striking webbing seat.
The seat height is 32 cm. The total height is 75 cm.
The chair is constructed from a solid wooden frame with a warm, dark brown finish. The backrest consists of four elegantly curved horizontal slats, while the armrests smoothly transition into the turned front legs. The seat features traditionally woven webbing, which provides a light and airy contrast to the robust wood. An original metal brand plate from 't Woonhuys on the underside confirms the origin and authenticity of this piece of furniture.
The chair is in good condition, consistent with its age and use. The wooden frame shows an authentic patina that contributes to its historical character. The webbing seat is intact and functional.
