Product description
Monumental antique Pichwai temple cloth from Nathdwara, Rajasthan, circa 1880–1900. The depiction shows Krishna during Sharad Purnima, surrounded by Gopis on the Yamuna and framed by a lotus pond. Hand-woven cotton, painted with mineral pigments and gold leaf. Microscopic examination shows fine natural craquelure consistent with the given dating. Dimensions: 155 × 127 cm. Authentic antique condition with historical fold lines and signs of age. Unframed; the cloth needs to be stretched.
