Product description
Elegant four-tiered table by André Groult crafted in the early 1920s. A refined example of the decorator’s work, where function becomes the starting point for a perfectly controlled decorative composition. Its delicate silhouette is structured around a precise balance of volumes: a finely constructed base with softened curves and an ingenious assembly of maple wood veneered trays held together by solid beech wood structure and joinery. Each tray is adorned with maple wood veneer, creating a subtle play of symmetry that highlights the warm blond tones and expressive grain of the wood. This refined veneer work brings rhythm and depth to the composition while underscoring the exceptional craftsmanship of the piece. Designed to display plants or decorative objects, the ensemble expresses the refined and whimsical vocabulary developed by Groult during the early Art Deco period, where elegance and functionality coexist with remarkable lightness. A decorative and highly functional piece, fully restored in our workshop.
