8x Cassina cab chairs in black saddle leather (saddle leather). Beautiful vintage condition, with light signs of use which just gives the chairs some extra charm! New price: €1566 per chair. Price now: 4499€ for the complete set of 8! The cassina cab chair is a 1977 design by Mario Bellini. The chair was designed in response to what the exact nature of a piece of furniture should be. As such, the chair is an extension of the body and has a look that blends beautifully into the space but is not inconspicuous. The design features an enameled steel skeleton with a seat and back covered in soft polyurethane foam. The entire design, including the legs, is covered in luxurious, coarsely stitched saddle leather. This leather is connected to the design through 4 deliberately visible zippers. It is not an easy task; the tight leather is pulled tight with pliers so that it can be completely closed. For the time, it was quite unique to also pad the legs. He immediately transformed the chair into a beautiful and innovative design. It is no coincidence that the Cab chair is still one of Cassina's bestsellers. The chair has a height of 82 centimeters, a width of 52 centimeters and a depth of 54 centimeters. The seat height is 45 centimeters. The Cab chair is part of the Cassina collection. Cassina is an Italian manufacturer founded in 1927 by umberto cassina. The collection consists of many design classics and timeless designs.
