60s Nanny Still McKinney x Raak Amsterdam Pendant Lamp
Unique vintage design Raak pendant lamp designed by Nanny Still-McKinney, better known as Nanny Still. One of Finland's most influential post-war designers.
Known for her collaboration with Raak Amsterdam, where she combined industrial design with glass art.
This pendant lamp is made of a copper casing with a hand-blown glass lining in a yellow/orange color.
The punched-out star design and the glass that protrudes create a unique lighting effect. The stars illuminate, and the bottom of the lamp provides the functional light.
The lamp is equipped with a new warm white LED bulb, which is included free of charge! The wire has also been checked, and it has a new suspension eyelet and a new black ceiling rose.
The lamp is in good condition with minimal signs of wear.
The glass has been slightly roughened at the bottom since production. There's also a thin hairline crack at the bottom of the glass, a common phenomenon in these Raak lamps. This is caused by grinding the glass or by the metal moving with temperature changes. Not visible during use, but worth mentioning.
