For sale are five original examples of the Model 55 dining armchair by Niels Otto Møller, manufactured by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark.
Model 55 is considered one of the most elegant and balanced dining chairs in Danish design history. These chairs are among the sought-after classics of the mid-century modern era, regularly traded in high-end design markets internationally. The original J.L. Møllers manufacturer’s stamp is present.
Crafted from solid teak with an original hand-woven paper cord seat. The paper cord is in excellent condition — firmly tensioned, stable and completely intact. The teak shows age-appropriate wear with a beautiful, authentic patina that has developed over decades. One chair has scratches on the backrest, honestly documented in the photos. A sixth chair from the same set is available on request.
