ABOUT THIS DESIGN
The Moroso Highlands is a modular seating collection by Patricia Urquiola for the Italian brand Moroso. It is the successor to her successful Lowland series. Highlands is all about movement: the backrest can be raised and lowered. The design has a soft, relaxed shape and shows how carefully Moroso upholsters, with neat seams and a cover that fits the element like a tailored garment. This element has no armrests and can be used separately as a lounge chair. With multiple elements next to each other, you can assemble a sofa to your own liking. In mustard yellow, it adds a warm color accent to a modern or industrial interior.
The seat consists of polyurethane foam in different densities with polyester fiber on a wooden frame. This makes it firm yet comfortable. The backrest is made of polyurethane foam with an internal steel frame. A hinge mechanism allows it to be set in two positions: upright for sitting, or lower for lounging. The mottled wool fabric has a subtle olive green undertone, which gives the color depth. The cover of the Moroso Highlands is removable, which makes maintenance easy. We have five of these elements. They are sold individually, but you can also take several for a complete sofa.
