Product description
A rare set of four original Cesca chairs. These chairs were designed by Marcel Breuer in the 1920s. Thonet was the first manufacturer of the chairs. In the 1950s, Gavina started producing the chairs, with permission from Marcel Breuer himself. Gavina was also the manufacturer who gave the name 'Cesca' to the chairs, after Breuer's daughter: Francesca. Knoll took over production in the 1960s.
The chairs for sale here are produced by Gavina and are therefore from the 1950s. Despite their age, the chairs are in top condition. The chrome frames have been completely polished and are in good condition, with light signs of wear here and there. The wooden parts also have minor signs of wear but are in top condition considering their age. The webbing on all chairs has been re-braided on both the seats and the backrest by a professional braider. The table can also be purchased with this matching set.
