Product description
Thirty-two small bottles gathered in a large wicker basket, as if one had just opened the cellar of an old bistro. Cognacs, armagnacs, liqueurs, brandies, aperitifs, and whiskies tell through their labels a whole chapter in the history of spirit houses and of these miniatures that were fondly preserved, eventually forming true collections. The collection is particularly attractive due to its diversity. The silhouettes of the bottles vary, the colors too; some labels are familiar, while others evoke brands less present today. Among them are Grand Marnier, Marie Brizard, Monin, Hardy, Highland Queen, Genièvre Loos, Albert Robin, as well as various cognacs and armagnacs. Old caps, corks, typography, and graphics add to this collection the charm of advertising and bar counter items from the mid-20th century. Comprising mainly miniatures from the 1950s to the 1970s, with a few examples potentially being more recent, this collection today takes on a particularly interesting decorative dimension. Lined up on bar shelves, displayed in a cabinet, or simply left in their basket, these small bottles immediately create a generous, lively, and slightly nostalgic setting. The large two-handled woven wicker basket is an integral part of the set. Its ample shape, traditional weaving, and patina give the collection that look of an old find one might have brought back from a cellar, a grocery store, or from behind a cafe counter. The 32 miniatures are offered as presented, some retaining all or part of their original contents, others being empty. They are sold exclusively as antique collector's and decorative items, and not for consumption. The set naturally shows signs of use and age visible in the photographs.
