This set of three Vitra DSW chairs, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames, represents a cornerstone of mid-century modern design. The DSW (Dining Height Side Chair Wood Base) model is celebrated for its organic form and enduring appeal, making it a highly sought-after piece for contemporary interiors.
Manufactured by Vitra in Germany, these chairs feature a moulded plastic shell in a subtle grey tone, complemented by a grey textile seat pad for added comfort. The base is constructed from wood with black metal cross struts, providing structural integrity and a distinctive visual contrast. The chairs bear the original Vitra manufacturer's label, confirming their authenticity and production date of 2015.
The chairs are in good condition, showing wear consistent with regular use. The structural elements remain sound, and the original finish of the plastic shells and wooden legs is preserved, reflecting the durable nature of the Eames design.
These DSW chairs are versatile additions to a dining room or home office, seamlessly integrating into Scandinavian, minimalist, or eclectic interior styles. Their classic silhouette pairs well with both wooden dining tables and modern desks, offering a functional yet historically significant seating solution.
