Product description
Set of two vintage 1401 armchairs, designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen in 1954. The frame and backrest are made of lacquered steel, the armrests are made of Bakelite. A few years ago, the chairs were reupholstered in a beautiful 100% wool fabric from the Scottish brand Bute. The fabric has a special waffle structure and is in a warm dark pink color.
The 1401 armchair has recently been re-released by Dutch Originals with a starting price of € 1,295.00 each.
