This 20th-century piece is in impeccable condition, as if displayed in a showroom, making it a rare find for collectors and interior design enthusiasts.
Design and Craftsmanship:
The chest features exceptional marquetry work. The front is centered with a classic oval medallion depicting a draped figure, framed by intricate geometric motifs and fine filigree. The sides display a vibrant matched grain in warm tones of kingwood and rosewood.
Materials:
• Stone: The piece is crowned with its original, thick marble top (Plum/Violetta Breccia). The marble is flawless, with no cracks or scratches.
• Bronze: Adorned with high-quality gilded bronze mounts (ormolu), including a decorative laurel leaf frieze along the upper drawer and elegant neoclassical hardware.
