A set of two chairs by the Dutch manufacturer Thur-op-seat, made from bent plywood. These chairs are a good example of functionalist design from the mid-20th century, with a focus on material and form. The seat and backrest are made from a single piece of molded plywood, ensuring an ergonomic and flowing line. The wood has a warm, brown finish that accentuates the natural grain structure. The base is a sled model, made of black lacquered metal, which gives the chairs a stable base and an industrial character. The Thur-op-seat brand mark is pressed into the wood, a sign of authenticity. The chairs are in good, vintage condition, consistent with their age and use. They have developed an authentic patina that adds to their character. The construction is solid, and the chairs are fully functional, retaining their original finish. This set is versatile and can be used, for example, as Dining chairs, extra seating in a living room, or as chairs in an office or workspace. They fit perfectly into an interior with vintage, industrial, or Scandinavian influences. The last photo shows a few very small white spots on one chair. These can probably be wiped off, but given their small size and in combination with the age of the chairs, this is not at all disturbing, and this is mentioned to prevent you from overlooking it.
