Product description
Exceptional vintage aluminum stools with a striking, ribbed surface and a sculptural hourglass silhouette. The two objects each consist of two conically tapering, grooved metal bodies that meet in the middle. The horizontal grooves create a strong graphic effect that fits very well with Space Age, Mid-Century, and 1970s interiors. Particularly interesting is the multifunctional construction: the upper lids can be removed, revealing the interior space. This allows the stools to also be used as small storage objects. The insides of the lids are executed in different colors – one light blue, one white – creating a surprising contrast to the brushed aluminum surface. The individual elements can also be disassembled and arranged or stacked differently. Condition: Good authentic vintage condition with visible signs of age and use. The aluminum surfaces show minor scratches, abrasions, pressure marks, and individual light dents or irregularities. Signs of use are particularly visible on the lids. The patina fits well with the industrial-sculptural character of the pieces. The colored insides also show age-related traces and dirt. Dimensions: D28 x H41 cm
