Understated simplicity
With its understated simplicity, the C683 sofa is a timeless classic. Designed in 1968 by the Indonesian-Dutch designer Kho Liang Ie and still part of the permanent Artifort collection.
The oblique angle makes the C683 sofa extremely suitable as a comfortable relax sofa. The back and seat cushions in horizontal strips give the sofa a timeless look.
In addition to this version, Liang Ie also designed a padded version under the name C684. Both sofas are available as a 2.5-seater and a 3-seater with a powder coat or a polished stainless steel base.
The benches are in good, used condition and have signs of wear. The upholstery of the cushions shows discolouration and faint stains, e.g. on the edges: yellow is a contagious color after all. However, the wooden body and the interior of the cushions are in excellent condition: it is advisable to reupholster the cushions, which consist of one piece and have a zipper, or to have the covers (possibly chemically) cleaned.
