This 1970s Murano glass lamp is highly reminiscent of space-age design, particularly pieces inspired by the moon's surface and celestial aesthetics. The textured Murano glass base resembles lunar craters, a design trend popular during the space race era.
This lamp is a clear to be the "Modello Osso" (Bone Model), a design from the 1970s Murano glass production, attributed to Carlo Nason for AV Mazzega.
The cratered, moon-like glass base is a key feature of the Osso (Bone) series, which was inspired by organic and space-age aesthetics. This model was part of the futuristic design movement that merged natural textures with modern materials like chrome or steel bases.
