Product description
For sale is an exceptional vintage coffee table from Norwegian mid-century design of the 1960s. A very rare piece, almost never found on the market in this configuration.
The table bears the original manufacturer’s stamp “Made in Norway” and is attributed to Norwegian designer Gustav Bahus. The elegantly shaped, conically tapered legs are characteristic of known Bahus designs.
The teak tabletop has been completely sanded and freshly oiled, bringing out the warm grain of the wood beautifully. Beneath the top sits a woven paper cord shelf — an extremely rare detail and a true hallmark of this piece. The paper cord shows minor damage, honestly documented in the photos.
