1970s Exquisite green Murano Glass "Fazzoletto" vase by Dogi handcrafted in Murano, Italy. This piece features the iconic draped-fabric silhouette that made Venetian glass famous worldwide. A masterwork of Mid-Century Italian artistry. The deep, emerald-to-seafoam green gradient is accentuated by a brilliant iridescent finish, reflecting light with an aquatic, jewel-like depth. The "Fazzoletto" silhouette is perhaps the most iconic form in Venetian glassmaking. Achieving this organic, ruffled rim requires immense skill; the glassblower must manipulate the molten glass with centrifugal force and gravity to "drape" the material into its signature soft-fold appearance. No two pieces are ever identical, making this a unique work of functional sculpture. It's in excellent condition.
