ClassiCon Design was founded in 1990 by Stefan Fischer von Poturzyn. At that time, he had the exclusive Classic Design licenses designs by Otto Blümel, Eckart Muthesius, Walter Gropius and Bruno Paul. ClassiCon Design obtained the exclusive licensing agreement for the Classic Modern designs of Eileen Gray worldwide. Bia is a 1994 design by Gioia Meller Marcovicz for Classicon. The Floor Lamp is a well-known classic. The Bia floor lamp consists of chromed steel with 2 swiveling white opaline/satin glass lampshades. The two shades allow the light to be directed. The lamp is equipped with a Larelco dimmer.
