About Cappellini
In the world of furniture design, there is a brand that stands out for its extraordinary creativity and courage to break convention: Cappellini. For more than 75 years, this Italian brand has been a symbol of innovation, elegance and unconventional designs.
History of Cappellini
Cappellini was founded in 1946 in the Italian town of Meda, Lombardy, by Enrico Cappellini. The brand started as a small workshop for woodworking and furniture production. Cappellini soon became known for his artisanal craftsmanship and eye for detail. But it wasn't until the visionary designer Giulio Cappellini, the founder's nephew, took over in the 1980s that Cappellini transformed into an internationally acclaimed designer furniture brand. Giulio Cappellini brought a breath of fresh air to the company by collaborating with innovative designers and artists, resulting in a series of beautiful collections that turned the design world upside down.
Design philosophy
Cappellini is known for its unconventional design philosophy, constantly challenging the boundaries of form, material and function. The brand encourages designers to experiment and innovate, resulting in some of the most iconic and quirky furniture pieces in design history. One of the standout features of Cappellini's designs is the use of vibrant colors and bold patterns. They play with contrast and create furniture that stands in the space like sculptures, while remaining functional.
