About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Sculptural lounge chair 'Elba', designed by Italian architect Franco Raggi for Cappellini (design 1985). A true statement piece: the curved shell with ash veneer embraces a fan-pleated back, with a generous leather seat cushion on an aluminium frame. A design that looks different and equally beautiful from every angle.
In seemingly original, used condition. The wooden shell and frame are in good condition; the leather seat cushion shows signs of wear, consistent with its age. Suitable for use as is. A recognizable design icon, now difficult to find as a standalone piece.
ENG: Sculptural lounge chair 'Elba', designed by Italian architect Franco Raggi for Cappellini (designed 1985). A true statement piece: the curved plywood shell with ash veneer wraps around a fan-pleated back, with a generous leather seat cushion on an aluminium frame. A design that looks different — and equally beautiful — from every angle.
In original, used condition. The wooden shell and frame are in lovely shape; the leather seat cushion shows signs of use and a warm patina in keeping with its age. Ready to use as is.
A recognizable design icon and increasingly hard to find as a single piece.
