Accessorising your interior isn't just about knowing how to mix influences, colours and styles; it's also the art of mastering the balance between accessories and pieces of furniture. Decorative accessories such as rugs, carpets, pictures, cushions or vases are quick and easy to change when you tire of your interior design. So what better way to accessorise your home than in the New Year? During the winter months, you can add faux fur, velvet or felt to your interior to create a soft, warm atmosphere. When the weather's fine, accessories are easy to replace, so you can add new sheers such as linen or cotton. Colours can also be adopted for greater lightness and naturalness. There's nothing nicer than a living space that can be brought to life as you please all year round, thanks to the accessories! Before you get started, make a list of the colours and materials you particularly like, and note down the pieces of furniture you already own to make sure you create an atmosphere in keeping with them. Once you've drawn up your list of colours and materials, take a look at our thematic collections on colours and materials, available directly from Design Market Design Market! 1 - Movie poster "The Who the kids are alright" - 1979 Movie poster "The Who the kids are alright" - 1979 | 2 - Abstract drawing on paper, Guy Claude Lerein - 1980 Abstract drawing on paper, Guy Claude Lerein - 1980 | 3 - Vintage sideboard by Wilhem Renz - 1960 Vintage sideboard by Wilhem Renz - 1960 | 4 - Lounge chair by Eames for Herman Miller- 1970 Lounge chair by Eames for Herman Miller - 1970 | 5 - Vintage "Diamond" chair by Harry Bertoia - 1950 Vintage "Diamond" chair by Harry Bertoia - 1950 1 - SA Boulanger chandelier in chromed metal, Gaetano Sciolari - 1960 SA Boulanger chandelier in chromed metal, Gaetano Sciolari - 1960 | 2 - Large brass witch mirror - 196 Large brass witch mirror - 196 0 | 3- Système mural 606 vintage de Dieter Rams - 1960 Système mural 606 vintage de Dieter Rams - 1960 | 4 - Scandinavian vintage sofa in brown leather - 1960 Scandinavian vintage sofa in brown leather - 1960 | 5 - Scandinavian vintage rug Rollakan - 1950 Scandinavian vintage rug Rollakan - 1950 1 - Panton chair anthracite edition Vitra - 2000 Panton chair anthracite edition Vitra - 2000 | 2- Serigraphie "Marilyn" de Andy Warhol par Sunday B Morning - 1970 Serigraphie "Marilyn" de Andy Warhol par Sunday B Morning - 1970 | 3- Authentic Mozart silkscreen print, Jean-pierre Yvaral - 1980 Authentic Mozart silkscreen print, Jean-pierre Yvaral - 1980 | 4 - Vintage Doria chandelier with 18 arms - 1960 Vintage Doria chandelier with 18 arms - 1960 | 5 - Strypy vase by Jaime Hayon - 2000 Strypy vase by Jaime Hayon - 2000
