Product description
Generous vintage leather sofa in the characteristic style of the de Sede DS-68, a striking Swiss upholstered furniture design from the 1970s.
The sofa impresses with its low, comfort-oriented silhouette, two generous seat and back cushions, and particularly wide, softly padded armrests. The surrounding side construction and robust upholstery give the furniture its typical, yet elegant and relaxed appearance.
Particularly beautiful is the warm cognac or light brown leather, which has developed a distinct natural patina over the years. Wrinkles, slight color nuances, and areas with varying degrees of wear contribute to the sofa's authentic vintage character. The leather still has a beautiful sheen and feels soft and supple.
The generous seat cushions and voluminous backrests ensure a very comfortable, deep seating experience. At the same time, despite the opulent upholstery, the form remains clear and architectural – a combination for which Swiss leather design of this era is particularly known.
Condition
Good used vintage condition with clearly visible, age-appropriate patina.
The leather shows creasing, light scratches, pressure marks and signs of use, as well as partially varying color intensities. Traces of use are particularly visible on the seat surfaces and on the left back section. Darker or more heavily patinated areas are present in places.
The upholstery shows the soft and slightly irregular shape typical of a long-used leather sofa.
