Product description
This is a three-piece ceramic set by the French ceramist Jérôme Massier, manufactured in Vallauris.
The set consists of a large wall plate/dish (dia 23cm), a rectangular dish (19.5 x 14cm), and a deep round bowl (height 6.5cm x dia 15cm), and is a characteristic example of the Art Deco period, showcasing the refined cloisonné technique for which the Massier family was known.
Each piece is made of earthenware and hand-decorated with vibrant, enameled glazes (cloisonné technique) in a rich palette of colors, including pink, green, blue, yellow, and black on a cream-colored background.
The decoration combines stylized floral motifs with a geometric border, typical of the Art Deco style.
The pieces are signed on the front and bottom with "J. Massier" and "Vallauris", confirming their authenticity and origin.
The overall condition of the set is very good, retaining the brightness of the colors and the integrity of the glaze.
The pieces show a character consistent with their age, without significant damage, which attests to careful preservation over the years.
The set is a beautiful example of the artistic heritage of Vallauris.
