Rare Vintage Rosenthal Heron Vase – Kunstabteilung Selb – Circa 1940 Special and very decorative Rosenthal porcelain vase from the famous Kunstabteilung Selb, presumably dating from around 1940. The vase has a beautiful light blue-grey background with a very fine, fully three-dimensional relief decoration of three graceful herons, surrounded by water, leaf, and plant motifs. The combination of the soft blue with the white relief gives the vase a particularly elegant appearance. This is a characteristic example of the decorative artist and design porcelain that Rosenthal produced in the first half of the 20th century in the Kunstabteilung Selb. A virtually identical piece is referred to in trade as Model 2562 and dated around 1940.
