This is a vintage wall light by the Dutch manufacturer Raak, dating from the 1970s. The piece is a characteristic example of the influence of the Op-Art movement on lighting design from that period, known as model W-1809. The construction consists of a cylindrical black bakelite base with a mushroom-shaped shade of white opal glass. This design provides a soft and diffused light, which is characteristic of the atmospheric lighting produced by Raak. As a Dutch design from the Space Age era, the lamp combines functionality with a strong geometric and minimalist aesthetic. The lamp is in very good condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The original structure and finish have been well preserved, keeping the character of the vintage design intact.
