Product description
This rare wall sculpture in the shape of a rooster is a powerful and expressive object with clear brutalist characteristics, related to the Ars Munda movement. The sculpture is made of dark, coarsely structured clay and richly decorated with inlaid, shiny glass beads. The red and orange accents playfully and abstractly depict the feathers, eyes, and comb. The combination of matte and shiny surfaces and of rough and smooth textures gives the object great depth and a lively, tactile character. The rooster's comb has some small chips and there are some light scratches/wear spots, which suits the tough, robust, and honest character of the work and enhances its handmade appearance. There is no signature present. Dimensions: approximately 38 cm high, 26 cm wide, and 4 cm thick. A unique art object.
