This is an authentic armchair by the German manufacturer Röder Söhne, dating from the 1950s. The design is a characteristic example of post-war modernism, where functionality and a sleek aesthetic come together. The chair combines an industrial frame with comfortable, organically shaped seating elements. The construction consists of a chrome-plated tubular steel frame that forms the base for the seat, which is integrated into the backrest. The seat is upholstered in black skai, while the backrest is made of a special contrasting orange plastic. The armrests are made of black bakelite, a material typical of this period. The back of the backrest is finished with decorative nails, adding a handcrafted detail to the industrial whole. The overall condition of the chair is very good, retaining its original materials and finishes.
