Product description
This is a characteristic pair of candle holders from the Art Deco period, executed in the style of the Amsterdam School. The set stands out due to the combination of warm oak wood and contrasting brass fittings, which gives it an architectural yet atmospheric appearance. The design is a striking example of the expressive and artisanal design characteristic of this Dutch art movement.
Each candle holder is constructed from a solid wooden, tapered column on a square base. The structure is enriched with decorative brass inlays and two elegantly curved arms, each holding a candle holder. The combination of the dark, grained texture of the wood with the warm glow of the brass creates a rich visual contrast. This duo is an authentic piece of Dutch design history.
The candle holders are in good condition, consistent with their age and use. The brass has developed an authentic and even patina over the years, contributing to the historical character of the objects. The woodwork has been well preserved and shows the original finish and the quality of craftsmanship from that era.
This pair of candle holders makes a stylish addition to a dresser, mantelpiece, or dining table. They fit perfectly into a classic, Art Deco, or eclectic interior, bringing a touch of historical elegance and atmospheric light.
