A beautiful reproduction of York Minster Cathedral in gold pattern, mounted on a mahogany base and protected by a glass dome. Created by the Franklin Mint in 1984. Built more than 500 years ago in the small town of York, York Minster Cathedral offers unique carvings, a Gothic choir and the legendary staircase leading to the top of the church. The interior key mechanism, handmade in Germany by Franz Hermle, features a 14-day pendulum movement that strikes the bell on the hour. It has been serviced and runs nicely on time. The entire clock is in near perfect condition.
