Product description
Title Yomar Augusto S-001 A024 (2020) Rotterdam Acrylic on black canvas approx. 128 × 156 cm Description For sale is S-001 A024 from 2020, a large abstract painting by the Brazilian-American artist Yomar Augusto. The work is painted in acrylic on black canvas and measures 128 x 156 cm including the frame. Purchased directly from the artist in 2020 from his studio in San Diego. The canvas was sent rolled to Rotterdam by the artist and framed in Rotterdam by a professional framer. The work is in perfect condition and hangs in a private residence in Rotterdam. The work is included in his own catalog. The artist's sales invoice to me is available. Yomar Augusto has a connection with Rotterdam. He studied here in the early 2000s, and I got to know him during that period. The back of the canvas is signed, as well as the mention of Rotterdam. Augusto was born in Brasília and grew up in Rio de Janeiro. He studied graphic design, photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and obtained a master's degree in Type Design in 2005 from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He then lived and worked in the Netherlands for almost nine years, including as a lecturer at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Since 2016, he has been working from Southern California. His work has been exhibited worldwide, including at Nanzuka Underground in Tokyo, Maddox in LA, All About Art in Singapore, and he has worked for brands such as Absolut, Coca-Cola, MTV, and Adidas. This painting comes from a private collection (smoke-free) and is a beautiful, large statement piece for a spacious wall. Will be shipped framed or rolled. Costs for professional preparation for transport are for the buyer. Purchased from the artist in 2020, purchase invoice available, included in the artist's catalog, thus guaranteed provenance. Has hung in a smoke-free home.
