Sanka Oy was a plastic company founded in Loviisa Finland in 1950 that manufactured shower furniture. In the 1950s, Sanka became known as a manufacturer of designer lamps made of acrylic plastic, whose designers were Yki Nummi, Lisa Johansson -Pape and Svea Winkler. This table lamp was designed by Yki Nummi in the late 1950s, and was immediately taken into the collection by the New York Museum of Modern Art (1960). Due to age, the clear acrylic tube has acquired a non-disturbing crackle surface (60/70 years old) the white shade is in excellent condition no smoke or nicotine deposits. The lamp is still equipped with the original plug ungrounded (free delivery in a circle of 230km)
