Born November 11, 1932, Alfred Defossez is a painter. He was a member of the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Modernes in 1952 and of the Académie Julian from 1953 to 1957. His work was selected for the Prix de la Jeune Peinture in 1957. He had his first exhibition in a Paris gallery in 1956. This was followed by a succession of solo exhibitions in Paris, the United States, Cannes, Japan, Italy and other countries. His works are the subject of official acquisitions from private collections and museums, such as the Tel Aviv Museum of Modern Art.
