This is an original old Persian rug that has been professionally sheared down to the base weave and then dyed. The generous size and rich, deep color make this rug a true statement piece for large spaces. The specially applied wear marks and discoloration were therefore already present when we purchased it in the store. The base color is a vibrant fuchsia combined with dark accents and lighter, faded sections that give it an authentic vintage look. The applied ‘wear’ marks and color variations contribute to the charm and tell the story of a lifetime of use, while the structure remains intact.
