This ashtray, designed in 1985 by Philippe Starck (born in 1949), is the Ray Hollis model and was produced by XO in 1986. From 1990 onwards, the XO brand name appears engraved on it. In excellent condition, see photos. More photos or information available upon request. Rare.

The one shown here is one of the first models made of polished cast aluminum.

This ashtray was designed for the Royalton Hotel in New York City, USA. It is a post-1990 production, as evidenced by the XO engraving on its underside.
Included in the MoMA design collection, object number 68.2000.
