About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a vintage ceramic poodle sculpture, manufactured in Italy. The piece stands out due to its stylized, elongated form and hand-painted decoration, characteristic of Italian ceramics from the mid-twentieth century.
The sculpture is made of white glazed ceramic. The body is adorned with a vibrant floral motif in pink and green hues, while the head, paws, and tail mimic the textured, curly coat of a poodle. The bottom is marked 'Italy', confirming its origin. The combination of the sculptural form and the painting gives the object a distinct character.
The overall condition of the sculpture is very good, consistent with its age. The glaze has retained its shine, and the colors of the painting are still bright. The object exhibits an authentic character fitting for a vintage item.
With its striking appearance, this sculpture is an expressive accent in various interior styles, from Hollywood Regency to an eclectic or retro decor. It can be placed on a dresser, a console, or in a display cabinet as a unique decorative element.
