Product description
Large vintage floor lamp from West Germany, manufactured in the 1960s. The sculptural ceramic base has a distinctly elongated shape, composed of various geometric volumes. The deep dark brown glaze alternates with sections in a characteristic speckled cream and brown Fat Lava glaze. This combination gives the lamp a strong graphic appearance typical of West German ceramics from this period. The tall cylindrical fabric shade with a decorative knitted band beautifully complements the ceramic base and reinforces the distinct 1960s look. The lamp is in neat vintage condition, with only minimal signs of use commensurate with its age. The lamp is fitted with new wiring, plug, and switch. Due to its size and distinctive shape, this is not only a lighting object but also a strong sculptural element in the interior. Dimensions are as follows: height 164 cm, diameter 55 cm. Carefully selected vintage design. Professionally restored where necessary, with respect for the original design, craftsmanship, and materials used.
