An Italian sideboard from the 1960s characterised by an articulated and functional composition, combining closed storage, drawers and open compartments within a well-balanced structure. Its clean lines and asymmetrical arrangement reflect the language of Italian design of the period, with particular attention to functionality and carefully considered details. Made of veneered wood, the sideboard features a warm brown tone and continuous grain that enhances its broad surfaces. The front combines a bar compartment with a drop-down door, two drawers and a large two-door storage compartment, complemented by an upper drawer and an open shelf. The integrated bar is fitted with a glass shelf and a red glass surface. Small brass knobs provide a refined material contrast, while the slender, slightly tapered legs give the overall structure a visually lighter appearance. The combination of storage, display space and an integrated bar makes the sideboard particularly versatile while maintaining a strong formal coherence. A piece representative of 1960s Italian furniture, where simplicity of construction, balanced proportions and materials create an understated aesthetic that remains remarkably contemporary.
