This set of two AURA armchairs, designed by Paolo Piva for Wittmann, combines a powerful architectural form with a remarkably comfortable appearance. The armchairs are upholstered in azure blue leather. The wide, rounded armrests flow smoothly into the backrest, forming an almost enveloping shell around the seat. It is precisely this generous, sculptural form that gives the AURA its character: present and distinctive, yet elegant due to its balanced proportions. Particularly striking is the contrast between the relatively calm front and the highly detailed back. The vertical lines in the leather make these armchairs visually interesting from behind as well. This means they certainly don't have to stand against a wall, but rather come into their own beautifully when placed freely in the room, for example as a pair in a spacious living room, library, or conversation area. The azure blue leather enhances the typical 1980s character without the armchairs feeling dated.
