A beautiful vintage lithograph by Dutch artist Wim Motz (1900 - 1977). The work is hand-signed by the artist and is in good condition. In the work shown here we see the artist at his peak. And a 'must have' in a retro interior!
Rotterdam native Wim Motz (1900-1977) did not begin his career as an artist until the age of 37. Among other things, Motz took drawing lessons from Jan van Straten who taught him what fine art is. From there the trail led him from impressionism to expressionism and from pure abstraction back to recognizable reality. His works of the 1950s and 1960s are considered the best period. The artist found success as an artist fairly quickly and exhibited in America, Canada, Switzerland and Belgium, among others.

The edge of the work is somewhat irregular and there are thumbtack holes in the corners, as shown in the photos. This will all fall away with new framing.
