About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This wall or ceiling light from the 1970s is a characteristic example of the glamorous Hollywood Regency style. Manufactured by Massive Lighting, its design is reminiscent of the organic and luxurious designs often associated with designers like Willy Daro, and is characterized by its sculptural, floral form. The lamp consists of six stylized leaves made of gilded metal, emanating from a central socket. The textured surface of the leaves catches and reflects the light, creating a warm and atmospheric glow. This piece, made in Belgium, embodies the opulent aesthetic of the 1970s and is designed for use with a single light bulb, with a mirrored head bulb enhancing the decorative effect. The overall condition of the lamp is good, consistent with its age and previous use. The gilding is largely preserved and shows a slight patina that emphasizes the vintage character of the piece. The original wiring is present, as shown in the pictures. As a versatile lighting element, this piece can be used as an elegant wall light in a hallway or living room, or as a striking ceiling light in a smaller room such as a dressing room or an entrance area. It seamlessly integrates into interiors characterized by Art déco, Hollywood Regency, or an eclectic style.
