Original vintage Wilkhahn shell chair, model 224/1, in an exceptionally beautiful combination of orange fabric, a white molded shell, and an aluminum swivel base. This chair dates from the classic German Space Age/Mid-Century design period and features both the embossed Wilkhahn logo and the original Wilkhahn label with the model designation "Shell Chair 224/1." Particularly characteristic are the organically shaped white seat shell, the rounded side details, the vibrant orange upholstery, and the elegant aluminum star base. The chair swivels. It is in good, authentic vintage condition with age-related wear. The photos are part of the condition description. An interesting piece of German post-war design and a real eye-catcher for a living room, office, studio, practice, or a Mid-Century/Space Age interior.
