Vintage frog basket / newspaper stand – white, attributed to Olivier Cajan
A charming vintage object with special character: This white lacquered wicker basket in the shape of a frog captivates with its playful silhouette, wide-open mouth, and colored glass eyes.
Comparable models are attributed to the French designer Olivier Cajan and are often dated around 1970. A confirmed attribution and exact dating of this piece are not available.
A decorative eye-catcher for a Mid-Century or Boho interior – as a newspaper stand, waste paper basket, or storage basket.
Condition
- Used vintage condition with clearly visible damage:
- Individual wicker strands are broken, frayed, or missing on the hands and feet. Fingers and toes are therefore not completely undamaged.
- On one eye rim, there are broken or missing wicker parts with exposed natural material. This is more than a small paint defect.
- The white lacquer shows abrasion and flaking.
