There is a discreet elegance in this small pot, typical of French tableware from the 1950s-1970s, designed to be beautiful without ostentation. Its bulbous ovoid shape on an annular foot, its glossy ivory white enamel, and its cobalt blue band highlighted by a frieze of small hand-painted dashes compose a simple and refined silhouette. The flat lid with a flared rim is pierced with two small holes: it's a draining lid, designed to allow the whey from fresh soft cheese to drain. This functional detail, rare to find intact, is a testament to an era when every table object had its precise function. Inner diameter approximately 9 cm, height with lid approximately 9-10 cm. In excellent condition, porcelain intact, blue banding well preserved, lid present and matching.
