This enameled sheet metal wall fountain is a direct witness to early 20th-century French kitchens, when running water was not yet ubiquitous and these suspended reservoirs dictated daily routines. Its cylindrical shape, its ogival backplate pierced with a pear-shaped suspension hole, and its original enameled tap are characteristic of French productions from the years . The granite enamel, white speckled with blue, is one of the most sought-after finishes by collectors of antique enameled tableware. Its cloudy texture, achieved by spraying the enamel before firing, gives each piece a unique appearance. The interior features a hand-painted graduation mark indicating a 2-liter capacity. Height approximately 28 cm. The exterior is very presentable, with the natural patina of time on the edges. The interior shows usual signs of wear. Hung on a kitchen wall, in an entrance hall, or a characterful bathroom, it immediately brings that country and flea market atmosphere that cannot be found in new items.
