Rare West Germany vase with marbled effect, designed by Walter Becht KG for Oberhessische Keramik, marked WB 170/24 at the bottom.
Walter Becht vases are uncommon and therefore highly sought after by collectors and serious collectors of West Germany ceramics.
West Germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came on the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some well-known names include Roth, Carstens, Ruscha, Jopeko, Jasba, Fohr, but perhaps the biggest were Scheurich and Bay.
