This is a classic Dutch grandfather clock by the renowned manufacturer Warmink, also known as Wuba. The piece is a beautiful example of traditional craftsmanship, executed in a warm wood type with rich grain. The clock is characterized by its stately silhouette and detailed bronze ornaments at the top. The case is made of burr walnut, which creates a lively and luxurious pattern. The dial is richly decorated with a moon phase complication, engraved Dutch cityscapes, and brass corner ornaments. On top of the hood are three bronze statues: Atlas in the middle, flanked by two trumpet-blowing angels. The movement is a high-quality mechanism that accurately keeps time, and often also the date and moon phase.
