Product description
This ceramic wall relief is a work by the German artist Lore Friedrich-Gronau, manufactured by the Staatliche Majolika-Manufaktur Karlsruhe. The piece depicts a serene female face in profile, a characteristic theme in the artist's oeuvre.
The relief is made of ceramic, with the face having a matte, earthy texture that contrasts with the glazed parts. The headscarf is finished with a thick layer of majolica glaze and the background with a cream-colored glaze, adding depth and visual interest. The organic, irregular shape of the work enhances its artisanal and artistic appeal. On the back there is a manufacturer's stamp and a hanging mechanism.
The object is in good condition, consistent with its age and use, retaining its original character. The combination of different textures and the understated color scheme make this work a subtle and expressive addition to an interior.
Manufactured by Lore Friedrich Gronau in 1958.
This wall relief fits perfectly into various interior styles.
